Cherry is a survivor and single mother. She moved here with her son while fleeing a violent relationship. She got help from a shelter relocating to her new home in Henrico, however, she does not have the funds to furnish the place. She has an appointment with a furniture bank but needs help paying the fees. With these fees paid, she will be able to furnish her entire apartment for herself and her son.

Kaiya is the single mother of a 6-year-old girl. After experiencing a period of homelessness, she found housing through Flagler Housing & Homeless Services at St. Joseph’s Villa. Keon has worked really hard over the years to successfully achieve one of his goals of serving in his community. Keon completed culinary school and has been excited to begin his career as a Nutrition Coordinator right away. During this tough transition phase Keon has experienced challenges with keeping up with repairs on his vehicle and decided to reach out for support. Having access to safe reliable transportation would assist Keon in continuing to be of service to his community.

Mike is fully able and willing to work and save income, but is in need of transportation to support him in finding and maintaining employment. He recently found a new job and is waiting to be put on the schedule, but needs non-slip shoes and black shirts/pants. Joseph is eager to get back to work so he can remain in his apartment. Evelyn would also benefit from receiving a dryer, so that she can wash and dry her four children’s clothes in a timely manner.

Trisha and Cedric are a young couple with a 3-year-old boy, and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new baby girl. Trisha is 8 months pregnant, and was fortunate to find housing just in time for her due date after her family had experienced homelessness. However, their new apartment is completely unfurnished. To help alleviate the added stress of affording new furniture and welcoming a baby, assistance with a crib would mean a great deal to Trisha and Cedric.
