Erin became homeless due to fleeing a domestic violence situation. She was homeless with her toddler for months, living out of her car, staying with friends, and paying for the occasional hotel stay. During this time, she could not afford her car insurance, and as a result, the DMV suspended her license for driving without insurance. Erin has finally been approved for housing, has moved into her new place, and is working to find stable employment. But her license is still suspended and that has been a barrier to a lot of employment opportunities. Having her license reinstated would help her land a job and finally gain stable housing and income again after all these months.
