Recently, Ms. Humphries was involved in a fender bender with a first responder who was not responding to an emergency yet attempted to use that explanation to minimize their involvement in the accident. Ms. Humphries and her son were leaving work after a fun-filled and busy day when, just seconds after starting the car, they were suddenly struck by another vehicle. Ms. Humphries is a wonderful mother to her only son. However, Ms. Humphries has also mothered and cared for hundreds of students throughout her career in the education field, which spans over 20 years. The accident has created unexpected stress and hardship for Ms. Humphries and her family as they work to recover from the incident and regain stability.
