After experiencing abuse from her mother, she was kicked out of her home because of her sexuality and gender. Ms. Maddie needs repairs to her vehicle so she can reliably get to work and continue working toward living independently. Without reliable transportation, maintaining employment and saving enough money to secure housing become much more difficult. A vehicle repair bill can be an overwhelming expense when you are already trying to make ends meet without the support of family.
