In her 70s, Ms. Ruthie has spent many years giving back to her community, using her bachelor's degree and experience as a case manager to help others navigate difficult circumstances. Today, she finds herself in need of that same compassion and support. After struggling with cocaine addiction, Ms. Ruthie's health and mobility have been significantly impacted, leaving her unable to walk and dependent on a power wheelchair. She now has an opportunity for a fresh start through a residential substance use treatment program. This is a chance to rebuild her life, regain stability, and begin a new chapter in recovery. However, getting there requires specialized wheelchair transportation that can safely accommodate her power wheelchair. We are hoping to raise funds to cover this transportation so that a physical barrier does not stand between Ms. Ruthie and the treatment she deserves.
