Lisa is a single mother of two college students. She has been having a rough go of it since having knee surgery in August of last year. Her ability to work has been adversely affected and her hours drastically reduced. She has been doing the best she can to support her children as they focus on their studies and tend to her own recovery. On top of all of this she has recently incurred some unexpected vehicle expenses and has been forced to choose whether to cover them or pay her water bill. Assistance with this bill will relieve her some very undue stress and frustration.

Larry is having a hard time holding on to employment due to some barriers and COVID-19. Currently, he is living in subsidize struggles with keeping his cell phone service on. If he were to receive support today, it would cover a year of service. This type of help would release his anxiety and monthly stress as Larry uses his phone to communicate, search for jobs, and accept temp positions.

Debbie spends most of her days providing care for her young grandson, while her daughter works. She has been a school bus driver serving children in our community for many years. Even after the schools closed she was able to pick hours transporting meals to the out of school children through the lunch program. She unfortunately was recently diagnosed with some serious underlying conditions that made it unsafe for her to continue her job and so has been out of work for several months. She is doing the best she can to make ends meet on her limited fixed income and is grateful for the opportunity to receive this assistance in the mean time.

Shinika is a single mother, who works from home since being laid off due to the pandemic. Her current job does not provide her the same financial compensation as her old one but does allow her to be home with her one year old, She is very grateful for this since his childcare center also shut down shortly after the beginning of the pandemic. She is doing her best to keep a positive outlook and is looking earnestly for better paying work since what she currently makes is only enough to cover essentials. She fell behind in her rent due to having to attend to an unexpected repair on her car which she desperately needs since she plans to get back to full time employment very soon. In the mean time she is just doing her best to get back on track.
