Finally, she found a place to live, but before she could transfer her housing assistance, she must pay her past-due rent of $450 to move. Danielle's recent tragedy in her home has left her no choice but to move out, and her kids are grieving and depressed; she is asking for support with her balance due of $450.00, of which she has half. Danielle is determined to save her family, and she needs your help.

When Chris and Ashley came to CCC's Youth Hub they needed assistance securing permanent, stable housing and long-term employment. They are so excited to have just moved into their first apartment and need assistance purchasing items like towels, blankets, and cleaning supplies.

Yolanda is a single mother and needs assistance covering her rent this month. She has had to take two weeks out of work without pay to help tend her son's mental health. Her teenage son has been recently incarcerated after a mental health episode caused him a run in with the police. She has been forced to take unpaid time off to deal with the legal implications and make sure he receives the mental health support he needs and does not get lost in the system. This has caused her quite a bit of emotional stress. She could really use some support as she navigates this extremely difficult situation. This financial help will reduce the additional stress that would be caused by her bills falling behind due the missed time from work.

Help with School Supplies. Heaven is excited about going to the third grade but needs help with school supplies. Her mom has a medical condition that prevents her from working as she cares for Marie and her other siblings. This type of help will be a wonderful way for Heaven to start her new school.

Help with Medical Supplies. Rodney is a participant in the OCWB program, where he acquired his barbering license. Recently Rodney had to have emergency back surgery which caused him to lose mobility in his legs. As a result, he isn’t able to work and was deemed ineligible for unemployment. Rodney is requesting financial assistance to purchase the medical supplies needed to assist him in his recovery.

Tyla is a single mother of 3 who relocated to Richmond for a new job, but became homeless when she contracted COVID before starting work, and while pregnant. St. Joseph’s Villa helped Tyla get back on her feet by obtaining shelter for her and her children in a local hotel, and connecting her with supportive community resources. Since then, the family has moved into a new apartment, and welcomed a healthy newborn baby. Tyla has asked for assistance with supplies to help her care for her baby (diapers, changing pads, bottles and clothes).

Kiara is a community member working toward her goals of obtaining her GED and driver's license. Kiara has been stuck in a rut for a bit and has recently reached out for community support to help make the next step in her journey to sustainability. She is working full time and is on her way to paying all of her fees and getting her license back. Unfortunately, she has recently contracted Covid and has been forced into quarantine without pay which has put a hiccup in her plans. This financial support will help her stay on the path toward moving to the next level and will give her the freedom to just focus on getting better while she is out of work over the next two weeks.

Help with Cell Phone Bill. Helen had to take time away from work to care for her daughter, who recently had an organ transplant during the pandemic, along with her son. Due to the severity of her recovery plan, Helen had to isolate herself. The loss of income has put a strain on her. Helen is requesting assistance with her cell phone bill to stay in communication with her job since she is working remotely.

Pamela is a senior citizen who was relying on her hours from AARP, but due to the Pandemic, she hasn't been able to return to work, and she has found it hard to fund her healthy food choices due to a health ailment that restricts her food choices. Help with Car Repair. Gilbert finally got his opportunity to work as an Hvac/Electrician. Things are really looking up after many years of trying to make ends meet. Recently, Gilbert’s car is giving him a difficult time & now he needs to replace his radiator & thermostat. Gilbert cannot afford to lose this job. He is asking for support to repair his car.

She is asking for support with her uniform to get started on her new job, which is a requirement and because she has been out of work attending school, she does not have the funds to pay for her required supplies. Bryant is a returning citizen and has been using his story to support young community members and non profits since his reentry in late October of last year. He is a skilled landscaper and handyman. He makes his income doing odd jobs for his neighbors and has built most of his clientele through word of mouth referrals. He is working to obtain his LLC in hopes of getting his business off or the ground so that he can create a more sustainable income for himself. He recently fell behind when his truck began having some issues and is now faced with the choice of repairing his only means of bringing in income or paying his rent for the rooming house where he lives. He has decided to start a job while he works on the truck but needs assistance while he awaits his first pay check to help keep him on the right track toward his goals.

Marquita is a single mother whose hours at work have just been significantly reduced. The family is also still grieving for the loss of the children's father, who passed away earlier this year. In addition to dealing with the emotional loss of a loved one, the family has also struggled with the lack of financial support that their father provided. Marquita needs assistance with this month's rent so that she and her children can remain stably housed.

Gabriella is a survivor of violence in her home country and a teen mom with a daughter. Both Gabriella and her daughter are living with a kind and loving foster family. Gabriella is working hard to finish school and earn her high school diploma while also assisting in the care of her daughter. Gabriella's daughter has outgrown her car seat and is ready to move into a bigger one.

Evan is currently sleeping in his car while working with an outreach worker to secure a longer-term housing solution. Evan does not have a phone, making it difficult for his outreach worker to connect with him. The lack of a phone has also made finding a job more difficult since Evan cannot list a phone number on job applications. A prepaid phone will help him secure housing and employment.
