Karen needs help getting new tires for her vehicle as she has several community engagement events and also needs her transportation to get back and forth to work.

Help with Gas Cards. Kim needs help with gas cards for transportation to get back and forth to her CDL training. Receiving this training will impact and change Kim's life by giving her the opportunity to gain a trade that is in high demand. This type of training ease the frustration and burden of wondering if she will be able to complete her training that starts toward then end of July.

Help with Mortgage. Karen is a senior who has been employed through AARP, previously. Her assignment with AARP has ended, and she is in the process of going on interviews. During this transition, Karen has fallen behind on her monthly payments. This type of help will help alleviate the stress of Karen trying to meet this need without steady income, while she is still searching for employment.

Help with Electric Bill. Shawn Baker is a single dad who is raising a child with special needs. The hours on his job was reduced and he had to get another job to provide for him and his family. During this transition period, Shawn fell behind on his utiliy bill.

Help with Electric Bill. Keisha fell on hard times this month with her bills. Her hours were reduced due to family illness, and as a result, Keisha fell behind on her electric bill. Keisha is requesting help with payment of her utility bill in the amount of $224.00

Help with Driving Fines. Ramon is a senior, enrolled in a Lead Abatement class that will help him secure a job as a supervisor in the construction field. He needs help reconciling his driving fines so that he can get his license reinstated to secure a job with a livable wage.

Mark can pay the majority of the quote but will need help with the remainder of the balance. This type of assistance will help Mark keep his employment secure.

Help with Housing. Whitney is enrolled in a career readiness training program. She has to reconcile a previous balance of $69.00 with RRHA before she is allowed to move into a new unit. However, she does not have the time or resources to dispute the $69.00 discrepancy; her family of five need a place to live now. This type of assistance will help Whitney and her family obtain housing and allow her to focus on securing employment.

Help with Eye Glasses. Dominica is struggling with school, co-parenting her grandkids and searching for employment with limited eye site. She cannot afford eyeglasses and does not have health insurance at this time to cover this expense. This type of assistance will impact Dominica in so many areas.

Help with Rent. Charletta is a single mom who is a Certified Nurses Aide. She has been experiencing health issues over the past few months and will have to undergo major surgery in the next few weeks. During the recovery process, Charletta will be out of work for the four weeks without pay. She has already fallen behind on her rent and has a balance of $1310.41, of which she has paid $1100. Charletta needs help paying the remaining $200 to stay current until she can go back to work.

Help with Rent. Lesia has to change careers; she recently had surgery that has limited her physical mobility. Now, she is working on earning credentials to enhance her transferable skills to change career paths. Lesia believes that when she completes certification, she will become more marketable, allowing her to secure a position with a suitable living wage to provide for her and her family. Lesia is facing the challenge of reconciling the balance on her rent. This type of assistance will help her until she can secure employment.

Help with Gas. Shay was slotted to begin fulfilling contract as a caterer for a major grocery chain. However, due to the changing needs of the business, she could not begin her contract. Shay is in the process of looking for employment in the food industry and/or hospitality industries. She will enroll in OSHA and ServSafe classes next month. Shay needs assistance with gas so she can make it to her classes and continue to go on interviews during her job search process.

Help with Driver’s License Fees. Bernard is a returning citizen who has experience in the construction industry. He has just completed lead abatement supervisor training and is actively seeking employment in his field. For Bernard to qualify for many of those positions, he has to have a valid driver’s license. This type of assistance will help Bernard on the path toward securing employment.
