Maeve received help with household necessities

Partner: Caritas

Advisor: Tori Purcell

Maeve has been staying at CARITAS Women's Emergency Shelter on and off for the past year. She has struggled with maintaining employment and qualifying for housing due to criminal history. While working with CARITAS, Maeve was able to get assistance applying for a housing voucher. She recently was awarded her voucher and has had much better success applying for units with the assistance of her voucher. This week she was approved for a one bedroom apartment of her own! As she prepares to move in at the end of this month, she has been saving for the move in costs and expenses that come with renting a place of her own. Your assistance will support us in allowing her to receive all of the household essentials that are required for moving into a new place, and things such as shower curtains, blankets, and a mattress.
