He has been in the shelter for the past few months due to his rent increasing $400 a month, and him not having enough work to sustain his rent. David works with Staff Zone, but has limited opportunities to pick up shifts due to a lack of transportation. Supporting David with a bike and a bike lock would allow him to be able to pick up more shifts, which would support him in finding stability in housing.

Yolanda is a single mother of 4 with 2 sons graduating this year and one of them leaving for college to Mary Baldwin in August. She will have college expenses. Yolanda is out of work due to having surgery because of a job-related injury and will be out in recovery for 3 months. She had an insurance agent sign her up for insurance however he didn't sign her up for the short-term disability. She found this out after surgery. This assistance will help her until she can get back to work.

While he is in the process of being connected to Medicaid and Medicare, he is unable to afford prescriptions for his mental and physical health. Due to her medical problems, she has not been able to work as much. Due to her inability to work, she has fallen behind on her water bill and received a cut-off notice this week. This support would help Sally and her family overcome this financial barrier.

Melanie has been staying at CARITAS Women's Emergency Shelter since the beginning of May. While here, she's started working so that she can catch up on bills and begin applying for housing. Melanie has been very driven and focused on her goals and moving forward. However, she has a phone bill that she has been unable to catch up on. She relies on her phone for work and for communication with her case managers and landlords. Your assistance will allow her to pay this bill before her phone gets cut off, as well as to continue to focus on working and saving for housing.

Terrence has been in shelter for 30 days, and due to his consistency in meeting with the case manager and working towards his housing plan, he was offered a job with the shelter as a maintenance tech. As such, Terrence travels between the different facilities of the agency to make repairs, but needs a form of transportation to be able to get to and from easily. A bike and lock would facilitate him in being able to get to and from work daily, and would also mean an ability to get to and from work once he is stably housed.
