Each week, a significant portion of their income goes towards the motel's hefty $300 fee. Heartbreakingly, Delphine's efforts to find a suitable home for her family are thwarted by the cruel reality of being told she earns too much for a two-bedroom but too little for a three-bedroom. To make matters worse, they rely on eating out every day, adding to their financial strain. Imagine the relief and gratitude Delphine would feel with assistance to cover gas expenses and storage fees, providing a glimmer of hope and stability in their challenging circumstances.

Erika is a single mother of three, with a newborn baby. She recently received assistance finding permanent housing after her family experienced homelessness. She would greatly appreciate support with purchasing a bunk bed and bedding, so that her two older children can sleep comfortably while sharing a room together.

Melanie is a survivor of domestic violence. Melanie has recently moved in her own apartment after years of abuse. Melanie is working hard to ensure that she can cover her bills but fell ill and lost many shifts at work. This financial relief would support the client as she return to work and catch up on bills.

Daisy needs help fixing her disabled son's car! Daisy is currently working while taking care of her disabled adult son and her ex-husband. Her ex is mentally and physically abusive so she cannot flee and leave her son with his father. She is saving to buy her own property. Fixing the car would allow her son to have more freedom and safety outside of the home. The work is being done by a non-profit Mechanics of Faith.

Kyra, 30 years old, was involved in a situation that left her paralyzed and recently obtained Permanent Supportive Housing after experiencing homelessness. She has limited income, and needs sturdy furniture that she can transfer to from her wheelchair. Kyra has exhausted all community resources and would be grateful for assistance with a bed, sofa, and kitchen table as she settles into her new home.

Patricia is working on moving into an apartment and needs her old power bill to be paid in order for her to move into a new place. She is working towards financial stability by obtaining a job. Having this bill paid would help her have a fresh start.

Although Lacey is recovering well, she is not fully healed and has been unable to return to work full-time. This has put a strain on her as she is falling behind on her electricity bill. This support would provide Lacey some relief as she continues healing.

Andrea needs a storage unit to hold all of her belongings. This storage unit has her furniture and other household items that she will need when she finds success through our program and moves into an apartment. These items will end up going up for auction if not paid. She cannot afford to lose them.

Due to the assault and the damage to the locks on the doors, Nicole does not feel safe and would like to replace her locks as soon as possible. This financial relief would help Nicole change the locks and ultimately support her as she works on ensuring her home is safe and secure.

Chelsea, a single mom of two, recently obtained housing after experiencing homelessness. She is having trouble maintaining a job due to one of her children having chronic health issues. She also has no transportation. Chelsea is currently looking for a work-from-home job and would be grateful for assistance with a laptop, which would allow her the flexibility to be at home with her ill child when needed.

Sydney has a newborn baby and is currently out of work due to a work-related injury. She has an opportunity to work remotely but needs a laptop to meet the requirements of the job. Sydney obtained housing just a few months ago after experiencing homelessness, and having a laptop would help her maintain housing costs until she can return to work in person.

Joven has been at CARITAS Men's Emergency Shelter for the past week. He was living with family until some difficult circumstances forced him to leave his hometown and seek shelter in Richmond. Joven has quickly found employment but does not have the clothing required to start work. Your assistance will allow him to get the required nonslip shoes and work pants that he needs to start work on Friday and work towards stability.

Faith is a survivor of domestic violence and a single mother. She is working full-time but has been unable to keep up with her bills. She is paying her mortgage but is behind on her electric and water bills. She is working with a case manager to budget and increase her income but Faith needs assistance catching up on her payments. With this help, she will be able to move forward in caring for her family and healing from the abuse.

James has been with CARITAS Men's Emergency Shelter since the middle of December. Since coming to shelter he has been working on locating permanent housing. James relies solely on social security for income and is unable to work. He does not have adequate shoes that fit him and your assistance will allow him to get two pairs of sneakers that will allow him to get around with a higher level of comfort.

While being here, he's struggled with significant paid in his legs and hips which makes it hard for him to remain comfortable and get adequate sleep. Ally is a young, soon-to-be mother who was recently housed by St. Joseph’s Villa after experiencing a period of homelessness. In an effort to make her new home more comfortable for her and her baby, the Villa has been able to provide some baby and move-in supplies, but Ally is still in need of some essentials. She would be grateful for assistance with a microwave and other kitchenware (plates, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc.) to provide care for her baby. Kelly is a survivor of Domestic and Sexual violence. Due to the DV and SV experienced, Kelly was prohibited from doing many day-to-day activities, such as working. Fortunately, Kelly safely got herself and her children out of the situation. Kelly is working towards rebuilding but is behind on her car insurance bill. This assistance would relieve Kelly as she is working towards obtaining employment and getting back on her feet.

The love and care she pours into her family are truly heartwarming, and any support offered would go a long way in helping Latoya provide a more comfortable and secure environment for her children.

However, this client is left without transportation; With your assistance, she can replace her tires and get back to providing for her family.

She has not been able to find or afford housing while caring for herself and her children.
