She was participating in a tax relief program that helped her cover her real estate taxes over the past few years. Peter Paul is helping her navigate the recertification process that was missed due to missed communication on the part of the city. She needs assistance paying the down payment on the payment arrangement that has been set up while we figure out a more long term solution to ensure that she is able to keep possession of her home.

Christal is a single mom of two boys and a domestic abuse survivor. She recently moved her to start over and has been living with family. She has finally been approved for her own apartment and needs assistance covering the security deposit and other moving expenses. He recently had to put his car in the shop and the cost of repairs has put a dent in his monthly budget. Help with Groceries. Lenise is enrolled in OCWB's Workforce Program. She was out of work for a week with COVID and when she returned discovered her position was eliminated due to layoffs. Lenise receives no subsidies for her three children and needs help with groceries until she can find work.

Help with Bills. Bernard is enrolled in OCWB's workforce program. He also is a contractor who provides maintenance support for one the City of Richmond buildings. The building was closed during the holidays, and Bernard missed five days of work which has impacted his earnings at the end of 2021. As a contractor, when he doesn't work during the holiday, he doesn't get paid. Bernard needs help catching up on some his bills: electricity and rent.

She is not yet eligible for sick time since she is new and has experienced a lack of income and fallen behind on her car note because of it. Support with this bill will help Shinika stay on track as she and her son recover and get back to their normal routines.

Kiara is a single mom who is very involved in the Peter Paul family network. She is very optimistic and driven and has been making great strides toward her goal of moving out of the housing projects and securing greater opportunities for her children. Which is no easy feat considering her fixed hourly income. She was recently hit with a very unexpected tragedy by way of her father passing away due to Covid pnuemonia. She is leaning on several community supports to cover the expense of missing work to travel out of state for his funeral while attempting to keep her everyday household budget afloat.

Danielle is highly motivated to find employment and housing, as they are requirements in her efforts to regain custody of her 3 sons. She has been applying for jobs and searching for affordable housing using only her cell phone. A laptop would make both tasks much easier, and also expand her employment options to remote work positions. Having experienced homelessness and currently without income, Danielle would be grateful for assistance in purchasing a laptop to help her reach her goals.

Monica is a single transgender female, who for the last year has been sleeping on the couches of friends and family members while on the waitlist for housing assistance. She was recently granted a single room apartment, but saving for that unpredictable day has been a challenge and she is now working toward being able pay rent on her own. Assistance with her rental deposit would be a tremendous help to Monica on her path to stability and independence.

Help with Gas and Groceries. Gil was involved in an accident in late January. The accident caused him to be out of work. Gil is the head of his household with a family size of 6. The person who caused the accident did not have car insurance, so he had to pay the deductible as he was out of work. Gil has returned to work but needs support with gas and groceries; he has come to us humbly asking for help until he receives his next paycheck.
