She’s been trying to pick up extra hours at work to make ends meet but has fallen behind in her electric bill. Kimberly has asked for an extension and was given a date of November 23, 2021. This type of assistance will help her avoid a disconnect notice.

Help with Laptop. Amanda is a single mom who also is in transition with her housing. During her move, her laptop and many other of her belongings were stolen. Amanda is in school and needs her computer to complete classes. She also is in search of employment and was using her computer to conduct job searches. This type of assistance would be tremendous for Amanda.

Help with Exam Fees. Lasha is working hard to enhance her skill sets and compete in a market that’s high in demand with RPS; she will also be able to secure sustainable income. Therefore, she is asking for support with the cost of this exam (Family and Consumer Sciences Praxis exam). The exam is offered through ETS, which is the credential needed to qualify to teach this subject in schools.

Jamaica is a single mom of a toddler and 3 elementary schoolers. She has been working part time for several months due to lack of consistent childcare. Now that the three older ones are back in school she has been able to focus on returning to full time work. She is currently in the onboarding process of her new job and just needs a little assistance covering the her car note through the transition. She is a hardworking determined mom and plans to ultimately become a certified substance counselor. She is very passionate about helping to break the cycle of poverty for those directly impacted by this crisis.
