After finding permanent supportive housing through Flagler Housing & Homeless Services at St. Joseph’s Villa, Chaya became the proud owner of a dog. Chaya struggles with mental health, and her new companion has been a terrific support in helping her manage feelings of anxiety and depression, as well as enjoy outdoor exercise. She would be grateful for financial assistance for her dog’s licensing documents and initial veterinary expenses.

Inaya is a single mother who recently exited homelessness, and is doing her best to remain self-sufficient and provide for her son. She was recently denied a childcare subsidy to allow her son to go to daycare while she works, resulting in her losing her job. Inaya is now searching for work-from-home jobs so she can care for her son while earning income. She would be grateful for assistance with a laptop, which would open her to more remote work opportunities, and allow her to complete online applications and trainings.

Bryce is a single father of two elementary aged children. He has sole custody of them because their mother is incarcerated. He recently lost his job and has been diligently looking for work. He has reached out to several organizations including Peter Paul for help to pay his rent in an effort to keep a roof over their heads while he searches.

Latasha works as a security guard in the Richmond area and has two teenage children. She is currently looking for more affordable housing because her landlord has begun raising her rent. She fears she will soon no longer be able to afford her housing with her current salary. She is trying to keep it from falling behind while she looks for new housing so that her credit is not negatively impacted, which will make her search even more difficult.

Tyleesha is a single mom. She and her 4 year old daughter are new to the Richmond area and have been trying to get there footing since arriving here. Tyleesha was recently laid off of her job and has been doing odd jobs to make ends meet while she works on her goal of starting her own business.

Ceelean has been staying at CARITAS Women's Emergency Shelter for the past three weeks. During this time she's been busy working two jobs and trying to move back into housing. One of her primary goals is to get a vehicle that will allow her to get between jobs more quickly as one of her jobs is contracted and often changes locations around Richmond. Ceelean is required to take an online driver education course before she's able to move forward with getting her driver's license. Your assistance will allow her to pay for and take this course and remove that barrier to reliable transportation.

Sally has been staying at CARITAS Emergency Shelter for the past two months while working on saving and locating housing. She's made a lot of progress while in this program and she has finally been approved and is preparing to move out of shelter and into a place of her own. We would like to provide her with an exit package containing some of the things she'll need for her new place. The exit package will include: a laundry basket, an air mattress, sheets, a blanket, a pillow, a towel and wash cloth, and a hygiene kit (containing feminine products, toothbrush, toothpaste etc.). Your support will help her refocus her savings on her move in costs and expenses that come with this transition.

He substitute teaches for RPS as his sole form of income.
