Help with Water Bill. Darlene is employed part-time and fell onto hard times after suffering from some health issues. This has caused Darlen’s hours at her part-time job to which caused the hours on her part-time job to be reduced. Darlene’s is struggling to pay some of her bills. She is requesting help with paying her water bill by 12/17/2019 to keep the water on in her house. Darlene needs this type of support while she is recovering.

Help with a Security Deposit. Nejshaun is a participant in a workforce training program that has recently secured employment. She has an urgent need for support with the first month's security deposit of $250.00 for a new home. Nejshaun’s total responsibility, including rent, will be $950.00. She has saved $250 and will receive help with the remaining balance from her family.

Help with Paying Rent. Nanisha is a single mom of two children. She was laid off from her job and is the process of trying to secure employment through a workforce program. Nanisha needs assistance paying her rent for November to prevent from evicted.

Help with Gas. Darlene has pursued her long-term goal of securing employment with the government. Now that she has reached this goal, she is asking for support to pay gas until she receives her first paycheck. This type of support will help Darlene get back and forth to work.

Help with Rent. Margaret has experienced unemployment for a few months. Since then, has enrolled in a workforce training program and has come to the career station faithfully to improve her computer skills. Recently, Margaret has interviewed and secured employment at a daycare center. She needs assistance with paying rent for the upcoming month until she receives her first paycheck.

"Help with Moving Expenses. Jiiochi been working hard and saving money to move her and her son into a house. The house rents for $850 and an $850 deposit is required. Jiiochi has saved $1450 and requires an additional $250. Fulfilling this need will improve the quality of life for this participant and her son."

Help with Health Insurance Payment. Lori is in dire need of support with her Medicare supplemental healthcare insurance payment. She has recently experienced extensive health care trauma and is currently living in a shelter. At this time she is requesting support for $226.58 to bring her policy current. This type of assistance will help Lorry continue to receive the medical attention she needs.

Help with Gas. Ava has secured employment after searching for over 6 months. She is nervous because she does not have enough funds to get herself to and from work. At this time Ava is requesting support for gas until she gets her 1st paycheck.

"Help with a Laptop. Sharquita needs a computer. During the summer, she shares a work computer with her husband. However, he went back to work on Monday, August 5th as a teacher and has to take his computer back to work. Sharquita is with small children as she searches for a job. It is not feasible for her to visit the library with small children who require supervision. Sharquita needs a computer so that she can search for employment from home."

Help with a Laptop. Simone is enrolled in the Mayor's Youth Academy. She is a recent high school graduate who will be attending college as a freshman in the fall. Simone needs help with purchasing a laptop before she leaves to begin her semester.

Help with Gas. Nathaniel has faced many hurdles and he is working hard to overcome them. He recently started CDL training through the Office of Community Wealth Building with CDS Tractor Training at John Tyler Community College so he can establish a thriving income to provide for himself. Nathaniel has little to no income and is commuting to Chester five days a week for the past three weeks.  This type of assistance will help Nathaniel complete his training.

Help with College and Dorm Supplies. Chantal is enrolled in the Mayor's Youth Academy. She is recent high school graduate who will be attending college in the fall. She will be majoring in Global Studies on a pre-law track. Chantal needs help with purchasing a comforter, book bag, toiletries and school supplies before she starts her first semester of college.

Help with a Laptop. Delmarco is a a rising high school senior who is enrolled in the Mayor's Youth Academy and has an internship with the City of Richmond. Delmarco needs a laptop so that he can spend more time completing assignments at home as his workload in the upcoming academic year.

Help with Car Payment. Tyler needs assistance with her car payment. She has $125 towards her car note of $369. Tyler needs her car to get back and forth to school. She has just re-enrolled after taking leave for medical reasons. Tyler is working part-time. Her goal is to become a nurse. For now, she is working on her credentials by taking smaller steps towards that bigger goal by going through EMT and Med Tech training. This type of help will help Tyler complete her training program.

Help with Laptop. Brianna is a high school student who will be taking several rigorous courses during the upcoming academic year. Having a laptop will allow Brianna the flexibility to complete coursework from home. Brianna is working diligently on college applications this fall.

Help with School Supplies. Kyrie is enrolled in the Mayor's Youth Academy and and has a summer internship with City of Richmond. She is a rising senior in Richmond Public Schools. Kyrie needs help with purchasing school supplies for the fall.

Help with Tires. Karen is enrolled in our the Workforce program with the Office of Community Wealth Building (OCWB). She is also an Ambassador for the OCWB for her community. Karen needs help getting new tires for her vehicle as she has several community engagement events and also needs her transportation to get back and forth to work.
